Wood areas with two state of the art asphalt plants located in Lebanon and St Robert. Willard Construction was founded in 1965 by Bill Don Willard in Lebanon, Missouri. The company started out small but quickly started completing large projects including both the Lebanon and Richland Airports. In 1972 Bill bought a quarry on the east side of Lebanon, and Willard Quarries was formed. Willard Asphalt was founded a year later in 1973 and Bill placed his son, Bradley, in charge of running the asphalt side of the business.
Willard Asphalt served about a 45 mile radius with just the Lebanon asphalt plant until 1992, when Bradley bought another plant and placed it in Willard Quarries in Buckhorn, Missouri. The Buckhorn plant was moved six years later, in 1998, to Willard Quarries in St. Robert, Missouri where it still is today. In 2004 a new plant was purchased for the Lebanon location and moved to the current location between Willard Quarries and I-44 Speedway in Sleeper, Missouri.
