    What is MFA?

In 1914, a group of 7 farmers from Brunswick, MO recognized the need to unify in order to save money and increase profits. They formed the first Missouri Farmer’s Association cooperative, commonly known as “MFA”, which quickly grew to be one of the largest agricultural co-ops in the nation. Over the last hundred years, MFA has established locations throughout the state of Missouri as well as across its borders into Kansas, Iowa, and Arkansas. MFA has led agriculture in establishing businesses, organizations, and other co-ops with one purpose: Serving the everyday farmer.

New Beginnings for an Old Legacy.

In February of 2019, the nearly 100 year-old store building caught fire and burned to the ground. However, knowing the needs of our customers, we were able to get back up and running within two days in a small building across the street behind the old store.

In October of 2020, our new building opened for business. Improvements for the modernized 11,000 square-foot showroom included a True-Value hardware section containing thousands of products to serve the needs of our customers and exchanging the dock-platform loading system for a convenient, covered drive-thru.

    MFA

In MFA Agri Services the showroom provides a wide selection of products to meet nearly every need. Our shelves are stocked with everything from plumbing and hardware to animal supplies and herbicides. Come inside to shop or place orders for feed, seed, protein tubs, etc.; then pull around to our drive-thru where your purchases will be loaded for you. In one convenient stop, your farm and home are covered.

Positioned to the rear-right of the showroom, our feed specialists offer nutritional support including custom ration building and supplement suggestions as well as planting and fertilizer advice. If we don’t have what you are looking for in stock, they can also place special orders for feed, seed, and farm supply.

Stationed at 1201 Beck Lane, our fertilizer guys can take care of all your fertilizing needs. We offer chemical sales and fertilizer spreading as well as soil testing. Want to do the job yourself? We have fertilizer buggies, no-till drills, and sprayers available to rent. Stop by or call the plant directly at 417-532-4600 for more information.

Bridging the Gap Between Producer & Consumer.

We made a decision when we first began to always plan for the long term. A long term commitment means long term investments in personnel, training and equipment. You can be rest assured that we will still be here next week after your order is complete or product is purchased. Our life blood is our clients, and that is where we make the greatest commitment of all.

    Silver Shade Farms

About Silver Shade Farms; I grew up on a dairy farm in southern IN where applying chemical fertilizers was normal. I can remember when Roundup, GMO seeds, and Roundup-ready products really started making a hit with farmers. It was quick, convenient, and easy (or so we thought).

After about 10 years, super weeds started to develop, which kept the chemical companies scrambling to come up with new chemicals to stay ahead of the chemical-resistant super weeds they had unintentionally helped create. It was a similar story with antibiotics.

I took over the family farm in 2001 and struggled along for a few years then sold out and moved to Missouri. We went into the construction business for 10 years then in 2015 we bought a farm with a vision to raise our family on the farm…

    Hello from Stil Dreamn Dairy.

Established in 2011 by husband and wife, Brett and Jessica Dixon. The farm is nestled in the scenic hills of the Ozarks which offers a beautiful grazing environment for their registered Ayrshire and Guernsey dairy cattle. Both Ayrshires and Guernseys are considered “Royal Heritage Breed” dairy cattle.

    Stil Dreamin Dairy

    About Us!

Brett is a 5th generation dairy farmer and originally hails from the eastern shore of Maryland. Moving to Phillipsburg, Missouri in 2001 with his immediate family and their herd of “Dix Lee Guernseys”. Jessica a Missouri native, is a 3rd generation dairy farmer. Originally a part of Gatton Dairy from Crane MO, she brings the Ayrshire cattle to the herd. Jessica also dabbles in photography, view her photos of the beautiful herd (here), which are available for purchase.

    Stil Dreamin Dairy

The Dixon’s have always been extremely devoted to their outstanding cattle and their passion is evident in the dairy’s history. In 2011 the young couple left their families’ farms to begin Stil Dreamn Dairy. Defying the odds stacked against a beginning dairy during poor dairy economics and drought for much of their first decade, while developing pastures to accommodate an intensive grazing dairy, the couple continued to build their dreams. Despite the continued challenges Brett and Jessica quickly attained many honors, including being inducted into the Missouri Dairy Hall of Honors in 2018 as Distinguished Dairy Cattle Breeders. The dairy has now grown to international notoriety for their outstanding genetics. In 2022, Brett’s sister, Katie Dixon, became part of the daily operations. The couple’s son, Diesel, can also be regularly spotted around the farm and showing his cattle at local and national fairs.

The next chapter of Stil Dreamn Dairy’s story includes building a brand new on farm milk processing plant! Construction on the plant should be complete summer of 2025. The products will feature the dairy’s A2A2 milk produced by their grazing Ayrshire and Guernsey cows.
